Get To Know Our Physicians:
Ron Hunninghake, M.D.
Dr. Ron is the Chief Medical Officer of the Olive W. Garvey Center for Healing Arts, the clinical division of the Riordan Clinic. A 1976 graduate of the University of Kansas School of Medicine, Dr. Hunninghake has devoted his career to the emerging paradigm of Self Care: the patient as an informed medical partner. From the first days of medical school, he has sought to find new ways of encouraging his patients to take better care of themselves, form new and sustainable habits of health, and to assume greater responsibility in their own health care.
Charles T. Hinshaw Jr., M.D.
In the Hinshaw family Dr. Hinshaw represents the third generation of Kansas based Medical Doctors. He is a 1958 graduate of the University of Kansas School of Medicine and went on to complete an internship at the Kansas University Medical Center. Dr. Hinshaw enlisted in the United States Air Force, serving first as a General Medical Officer and later as a Flight Surgeon. Returning to KUMC after the Air Force, Dr. Hinshaw served as a Resident-Fellow in Pathology from 1961-1965.
Jennifer Kaumeyer, N.D.
Dr. Kaumeyer is a native of Southern Louisiana and began her studies at Louisiana State University where she majored in Microbiology and Nutrition. She went on to earn her bachelor’s degree in Biology from the College of Charleston in Charleston, SC. She later received her Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine from the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in Arizona. In February of 2011, Dr. Kaumeyer moved to Wichita from Raleigh, NC, with her two young children to join the Riordan Clinic as clinic director.
Anne Zauderer, D.C.
As a native of Wichita, Kansas, she left to pursue a B.A. in psychology from Texas Tech University and graduated with Honors. She spent a year studying naturopathic medicine in Seattle, Washington before finding her calling as a chiropractor. Dr. Anne utilizes chiropractic neurology, a specialized branch of chiropractic, with children to assess for and treat neurodevelopmental disorders such as ADD/ADHD, Autism, Asperger’s, OCD, and depression. This form of treatment is a drugless approach that combines biochemical assessment with specific exercises to develop weaker areas of the brain.

Brian Riordan Chief Executive Officer
Brian Riordan graduated with Honors (Phi Beta Kappa) from the University of Kansas with B.S./B.A. degrees in Economics and East Asian Studies. He earned his Master’s degree in Business Administration from INSEAD, just outside of Paris, which is one of the leading MBA programs worldwide.
Riordan has been a corporate consultant in Tokyo, London, San Francisco and Sao Paulo. His specialty in the past decade has been transforming businesses with great potential into the thriving enterprises they were meant to be. In early 2010, Brian Riordan was recruited to lead the Riordan Clinic, founded in 1975 by his father Dr. Hugh D. Riordan. “Empathy — the idea that we are co-learners along with our patients on the path to achieving physical and spiritual well-being — remains core to the mission of the clinic,” Riordan said. “Come visit us. We want to help you feel better and live longer.”
Brian is fluent in Japanese and Portuguese.

Angie Phlebotomist
Angie is a Certified Medical Assistant and graduate from Vatterott College. She has been a volunteer at many organizations and is proud to be part of a team that helps many people on several different levels. “Since I can remember, I’ve always wanted to help and care for people and make a difference in someone’s life. No matter how big or small that difference, it brings happiness to my heart.”

Brad Phlebotomist
Brad is a graduate of Newman University with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology. As a phlebotomist, Brad bridges the efforts of those in the Riordan Clinic and Bio-Center Laboratory. He is a strong proponent of comprehensive medicine and believes that the exactitude in venipuncture should be paralleled with a unique compassion for each patient.

Chris Nurse
With a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Wichita State University, Chris brings over 8 years of Emergency Medicine experience. “This is the first place I have worked where each person who comes to the clinic actually wants to be here!” Chris enjoys being part of a team where individualized treatments create healthy outcomes.

Jean Medical Receptionist
After 19 years at the Riordan Clinic Jean has seen many patients come and go. “I love hearing the interesting stories and seeing the many positive outcomes our patients experience,” she says. Jean works with scheduling and billing for the clinic. Whether on the phone or in-person Jean is ready to assist you.

Julie Patient Liaison
Julie has been at the Riordan Clinic for more than four years. “I think the approach to health we take here, focusing on the root cause of an illness, is such important work,” she says. Julie likes being part of a unified team that’s truly making a difference in people’s lives every day.

Kim Receptionist/Supplement Sales Assistant
Kim has been at the Riordan Clinic for three years. You will likely encounter her smiling face upon your arrival. “My favorite thing about my job is having a part in people living a better life,” she says. In addition to her receptionist duties Kim is also a knowledgeable member of our supplement store team.

Marla Medical Records
Marla has been at the Riordan Clinic for over six years. She manages our medical records department with great skill. “I really like the atmosphere of listening and caring we provide to our patients,” she says. Marla’s positive attitude and smile are a great addition to the clinic environment.

Mona Librarian
Mona has worked at the Riordan Clinic since 1997. She has been in the position of over-seeing the Mabee Library since 2009. She also helps cover the switchboard, plus you can find her working in the clinic when needed. Mona brings a reliable “can do” attitude to each of her varied responsibilities and enjoys being a member of the Riordan Clinic team.

Nichole Head Nurse
With a Bachelor’s degree in Biology, a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and previous experience in research at Kansas State University, Nichole brings a plethora of knowledge to the Riordan Clinic. She has worked in the healthcare field in nursing homes as well as dialysis and is very excited to jump into the realm of preventative and natural medicine that is offered here at the clinic. “The individualized treatment that sets each person apart from one another really drives my desire to learn more,” said Nichole.

Sarah Scheduling
Sarah is an asset to the Riordan Clinic with her warm personality and great people skills. Sarah comes to the Riordan Clinic with a Bachelors degree from Wichita State University and she hit the ground running. “I enjoy talking with and getting to know the patients,” says Sarah. Look for her when scheduling your next appointment.

Sarah Medical Assistant
Before becoming a Certified Medical Assistant through Vatterott College, Sarah spent 7 years at a non-profit organization working with Native American children where she found her calling in the medical field. “It has been a very rewarding experience working for an organization where from the moment you walk in the door, there is truly an environment of caring. Each co-learner is treated as a whole, not a system of parts. This is what makes the Riordan Clinic so unique. I am happy I can be part of team that strives to give 110 percent every day!”

TaNeisha Receptionist
TaNeisha is one of the first people you will meet when you arrive at the clinic. She is always smiling and willing to help. “Not only do I find the patients inspirational, but they are like family. I can recognize when someone hasn’t walked through the door, and I miss them. I want to touch each person’s life as they are touching mine!”

Vicki Nurse
A registered nurse with 29 years of clinical experience, Vicki enjoys being involved in the many aspects of patient care at the Riordan Clinic. “The Clinic is such a pleasant place to work,” she says. “I learn so much about the importance of nutrition and vitamin supplements and how important they are to health.” Vicki serves the specialized needs of co-learners to improve their health, including providing Intravenous Vitamin C, Chelation Therapies, and EKG.

Vicki Nurse
Vicki has been a nurse since 1982 and has studied preventive and natural medicine since 1996 with several certifications in alternative care. “I love working at the Riordan Clinic where the patient comes first and foremost. Being a part of a well rounded professional team that truly makes a difference in peoples’ lives is the ultimate. I am truly blessed to be a part this team.”

Victoria Certified Medical Assistant
Victoria is a 2011 graduate of Vatterott college. She received an associates degree in applied science. I love working at the Riordan Clinic where the patient comes first and they learn about their health and how they can make a difference and focus on the root of their illness.
