Cancer Research – LF Bacterium

Imm-Kine Study – The major component of Imm-Kine is the extract of Lactobacillus Fermentum (LF). LF is a kind of edible bacterium used in the food industry. Its effective immune-boosting and anticancer part is the muramyl polysaccharide glycan complex.

FL stimulated the lymphocyte proliferationin vitro.

FL increased the phagocytotic ability of macrophages.

FL stimulated the monocyte to produce IL-6 and IL-12 in vitro. IL-6 is a multifunctional cytokine in host defense by regulating immune and inflammatory responses. IL-12 promotes the growth and activity of cytotoxic cells in the antitumor immune.

Imm-Kine showed good tumor inhibitions on animal tests.

The bindweed extracts inhibited 53% of the melanoma (skin cancer) growth in mice.

Intraperitoneal injection (i.p.) of 100 mg/kg Imm-Kine showed 81% tumor inhibition on S180 sarcoma mouse model.

Pathology slide of the tumor after the Imm-Kine treatment for 16 days. 40X

Imm-Kine made a lot of lymphocytes infiltrate into the tumor cite to kill tumor cells. At last but not least, the LF extracts were less toxic. The injected lethal dose (LD50, i.p.) of LF was 4293 mg/kg. The safe dose of LF extract can be 30 g a day for a 70 kg (156 lb) person. One capsule of Imm-Kine contains 0.25 g LF extract and 50 mg §-1,3 glucan (another strong immune booster). Therefore, Imm-Kine is very safe.
